Our Land Conference 2018, Rama Ontario
Cambium Aboriginal is pleased to have been the first host of the Our Land Conference. This two-day event is designed to inspire and educate those responsible for the stewardship of the land. The conference brings together First Nations representatives, environmental professionals, and knowledge and training experts to discuss what we can do to sustain what sustains us: Our Land.
The theme of the 2015 event was “First Nation Stewards of Mother Earth”. The term “stewardship” refers to: “The careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care.” Mother Earth has entrusted us to care for Our Land, and we all have a responsibility to do so. We wished to join together to share knowledge and mutually benefit from new connections.
Cambium Aboriginal was pleased to have representatives of over 30 unique First Nations across the province at the first annual event!
